In no particular order, here’s a compiled list of some of the more frequent rumours and gossip that have been circling around various gaming message boards:
1) Dante will return with a much more serious
and darker attitude, similar to Devil May Cry 2.
2) Nelo Angelo with be making an appearance.
3) Devil May Cry 4’s timeline will be set
directly after the events of Devil May Cry 2.
4) There is talk of a second playable character
being introduced (possibly Trish), complete with his/her own story
and skills.
5) Most of the team behind Devil May Cry 2 and
3 will be developing Devil May Cry 4, along with Hiroyuki Kobayashi
returning to lend a hand (co-producer behind the original Devil
May Cry).
