With the PS3 launch inching closer and closer by the day, we have seen many industry insiders offer their prediction on everything from launch date and price, to what games will be available. In an interview in the Official Playstation Magazine, the editorial director of Ziff Davis Media’s Game Group, Jon Davison, has offered his two cents on the forthcoming console, giving three predictions.

Summary:

1. Launch: "November in the United States" with a reasonable price tag of $399

2. The Dualshock 3: Davison believes that the not-so-popular “boomerang” shaped PS3 controller will be replaced with one which is similar to the current PS2 controlller. He believes that the current model has no room for the needed batteries.

3. The games: he believes that unlike the Xbox 360 lauch which saw an impressive 18 titles on launch, the PS3 will be released with only a few titles. Add that "the real jaw-droppers on the system aren’t going to be shown until E3 in 2007."
